Premillennialism emphasizes a future bodily return of Christ followed by a literal millennium. This view takes seriously the promises of a restored creation and a reigning Messiah. The heart of the doctrine is the glory of Christ as King who will make all things new. Agreement: I agree with premillennialism that the world will be transformed by the Kingdom of God. Disagreement: I disagree, however, regarding the timing. Premillennialists believe that the transformation will begin in the future when Jesus Christ returns.
