People with dementia may have impaired judgment, especially for more advanced stages of dementia. We believe that safety at home is of paramount importance in caring for persons with dementia. Ensuring that the home environment is uncluttered will eliminate tripping hazards. This one-room HDB flat exhibit incorporates various home safety adaptations that any caregivers for persons with dementia can learn from. We aim to encourage caregivers to create a supportive home environment for persons with dementia, so that they will adapt easily to their surroundings and in turn, will encourage activities and independence at home.
