Biking the Iconic Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) -- 3 days/150 miles

With 30 bridges and trestles and four tunnels what's not to like about the GAP? These include icons like the 101' high Salisbury Viaduct near Meyersdale; the Pinkerton High Bridge over the Casselman River, the 130 year old Pinkerton Tunnel spanning 849 feet in Markleton and the 3,249' long Big Savage Tunnel. The GAP is a Northeast US destination trail and part of the Great American Rail Trail. Our ride started at mile 150 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and ended at mile 0 in Cumberland, Maryland. We packed our paniers and stayed in B&B's (we aren't big on "roughing it".) From Cumberland we had a service take us and our bikes back to Pittsburgh. This ride took place June 10-13, 2022.
