Samara Adventure Company offers several tours around the Samara, Guanacaste area. I joined their Catamaran Seafari tour on July 5, 2021 and was able to view many dolphins and a turtle at fairly close range. As I jumped off the catamaran into the ocean to snorkel, my GoPro sheared right off of the floating hand grip it had been attached to and sank to the bottom of the ocean (about 12 feet down). It was immediately lost to me, because I was unable to find it. One of their tour guides spent about ten minutes continually diving and searching for it, and was actually able to retrieve it. He said it was mostly hidden under a rock. I am astounded that I was able to actually leave Costa Rica with my GoPro - if it wasn't for his perseverance, it would still be underwater!
