Home to Britain's second-oldest university, one of the world's most prestigious, Cambridge's history and day-to-day life is dominated by the university, with 31 historic colleges dotted around the city, many lining the beautiful banks of the River Cam. Beyond the university, though, there's plenty more to see around Cambridge, from its 11th-century castle to its array of beautiful medieval churches, and the houses and former hangout spots of some of history's greatest minds!
