Specifically, the Range (master) boost side. Paired with a versatile British amp-like overdrive/distortion, the Range side is capable of many things - boost to grind and everything in-between. It's a classic recipe but one rarely found in a dual pedal. The Engine takes care of that. In the classic configuration you'd see the Rangemaster before the amp. The Engine lets you switch to the other way around thanks to its 'Order' switch. That combination will truly awaken your amp (and your audience!) The Engine will do very well because it sounds great, is easy to use, and is basically 30 years of classic rock tones in a can. You need one. Yes you do..!
