Homelessness is unfortunately a reality in many people's lives. It can happen to anybody for any number of reasons. Possibly the saddest of all homeless situations is when homeless families are forced to be split up due to homeless shelter rules and regulations regarding who is allowed to stay in any given shelter. That is where Family Promise and the UCC comes in. Family Promise, the United Church of Christ and many other denominations and religious organizations have teamed up to form a nation-wide partnership to keep homeless families together. Here is the experience of one UCC church (Fairlawn West UCC in Akron, Ohio) as they recently hosted four homeless families. This is the Full version
