Phytotherapy: The Rational Use of Plants by Rick Henriksen MD, MPP

The purpose of this presentation is to teach a few basic principles regarding phytotherapy in order to recognize when patients are using on their own and to help encourage physicians to consider their use when appropriate. I am a Family Physician. It is not my career or my job. It is who I am. I received my B.A. of Behavioral Science and Health, and then entered medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The Bronx, NYC. I returned to Salt Lake City to complete both my residency in Family Medicine and a Master of Public Policy both at the University of Utah. I’ve been teaching medical students and treating patients based on Ancestral Health principles for over 5 years, and I specialize in healthy stressed out dads live happier lives. I’m currently enrolled in the Fellowship Program in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona.
