I have used Layout 27 as a backdrop for all (not quite all :-) ) my British model O gauge trains, Hornby mainly, locomotives, stations, signals, footbridges, buffers (which i referred mistakenly in the video as points). A layout like this has inspired the children from 1920 to 1960 and you can see why. The big single engines on the track were only seen in Meccano magazines, no one had them in Australia, maybe the rich. The first one i saw in 2015 was worth $700! Before that i never thought i would see one in my lifetime. I have tried to give examples of most of the Hornby locomotives and accessory products range. many of the trains in the double row of locomotives are clockwork, as well as one of the Bassett Lowke Flying Scotsmans (the one at the back, featured in videos to come) Hornby carriages and wagons will be in future videos ........and then a lot more brands to follow : French, German, Australian and US The machines of dreams.
