In Geary County, Kansas, administrators were so committed to teaching radical gender ideology to children as young as kindergarteners that they were willing to mislead and lie to parents. And they were willing to punish teachers who stood in their way. Longtime educator Pam Ricard offered to avoid causing any unnecessary offense by addressing students who identified as the opposite sex by their last name in her classroom, but the district decided that wasn’t enough. Pam was suspended for three days for something she couldn’t do—participate in a student’s social transition to identify as the opposite sex, all while keeping parents in the dark about the serious difficulties their children were going through. The district wasn’t just violating Pam’s free speech and religious freedom. Its actions and policies were also in conflict with the rights of parents.
