Paint with Me | exploring the Zorn palette 🎨

✨ In today’s video, I’m diving into the Zorn palette—a classic, limited color palette often associated with the Swedish artist Anders Zorn. Traditionally made up of yellow ochre, cadmium red (or vermillion), ivory black, and titanium white, this palette is known for its ability to create harmonious and natural-looking skin tones. Since I’m working with watercolors, I’ve made a slight adjustment by omitting white and using only three colors: 🟡 Cadmium Red Light (White Nights) 🔴 Yellow Ochre (Mijello) ⚫️ Ivory Black (Mijello) I’ll be exploring how these colors mix together by creating a value study, a mixing chart, and a few portrait sketches, before finishing with a larger Zorn-inspired painting.
