- Band: ETWAS EP: Behind The Veil Year: 2020 Genre: Symphonic Metal Band Country: France ETWAS is a french symphonic metal band with dark ambient and orchestral touches. Finding inspiration in several artistic influences (music, litterature, movies), the band proposes complete and original songs, trying to be as close as possible of the universe it wants to transmit : the very dark side of humanity, its own demons that can't be shut, its lack of humility and consideration for the world around. The band has been created in 2017 by : Victoria (lyrics), Florian (bass guitar) and Silver (guitar). In August 2020, after three years of work, the first EP intitled "BEHIND THE VEIL" is released, composed of six epic and melancholic ambient, allying the sweetness of a lyrical voice to the violence of the guitars. This first EP, though the melodies and lyrics, approaches the theme of a relentless battle between Man, greedy and dissatisfied, warranting his acts by religion, and Nature, hurt by humanity and certain to take over Man. Together or by distance, in working rooms and by internet exchanges, each member of the band is part of the composition of the songs, integrating a piece of his personality to the melodies and the atmospheres. Composed for now by the original team, the band will be completed by a new guitarist (Vincent) and by a session drummer for the repeat days and the shows.
