Millie is now 5 years on from beating her Emetophobia, she has been sick since overcoming it and is here to give us all an update on what her life is like Emetophobia-Free. Millie recorded her first video just 5 weeks into the programme. • What it feels like to live life without em... In this podcast episode, Millie explains that throughout the programme she experienced blips and dips. She found it difficult in parts and had to put in a lot of effort to find comfort in the discomfort. For example, the first time she decided to drink alcohol or eat fish, she created anxiety and felt uncomfortable. However, she knew that she wanted to be able to do those things long term so learning to tolerate that anxiety was essential. Now, she is able to do those things with no anxiety whatsoever! Millie describes her journey thorough the programme as more of a marathon than a sprint. Millie then recorded another testimonial video at the end of The Thrive Programme when she had fully overcome her Emetophobia. • Millie: "I CAN 100% SAY I'M NOT EMETOPHOBI... In the last 5 years Millie has continued to Thrive and has recently started travelling. She has enjoyed exploring Europe, sometimes very spontaneously which she certainly wouldn’t have been able to do pre-Thrive. One example, Millie gives is that her friend called her on a Sunday and said ‘Let’s go to Ibiza’ and by the Tuesday morning they were on the plane! She has continued to try new foods and is able to minimise any stress or anxiety when faced with the challenges of day to day life.
