I know not everyone has spare money right now. Things are tight. This is not an “everyone chip in” thing. This is about some of us stepping up. NOT all of us. You get the next round. There are about 12,000 people who follow this account. The Israeli Bobsled Team needs $40,000 to fulfill their Olympic dreams. And when I say “team,” I mean real people: Pilot AJ Edelman, Menachem Chen, Ward Fawarsy — who is Druze, Omer Katz, and Lulu—yes, the dog 🦮—who is very much part of the journey. This is a Jewish pilot, Jewish teammates, a Druze Israeli athlete, competing together under one flag, chasing the same goal. That’s not a slogan. That’s Israel. Here’s the honest math: If about 220 people give $180—a more than solid bar or bat mitzvah gift—that’s it. Fully covered. That’s less than 2% of the people here. Roughly one out of every 54 followers… Chai times three. If you’re in a position to do that, amazing. If you’re not, this is not aimed at you. This isn’t about mega-donors or gala culture. It’s not about spectacle or pretending everyone has money. It’s about normal people doing something meaningful and Jewish-sized. Tzedakah is helping the community… and this is tangible: It’s like buying tefillin for someone who wants them but can’t afford them. You know exactly what your money does, and exactly who it helps. Tzedakah isn’t everyone giving everything. It’s enough people giving something real. I’m starting with $180…. If you’re one of the ~220 who can join me, we help AJ, Menachem, Ward, Omer—and Lulu—take a real step toward the Olympics. This isn’t charity theater. It’s purpose-driven tzedakah… and it the most Jewish thing you could do today. http://bit.ly/shulrunnings #WinterOlympics #Olympics #Israel #ShulRunnings #Fundraising
