For English see below* Avant de quitter notre famille adoptive du Sikkim, nous leur disons qu'après notre étape à Darjeeling, nous allons passer au Népal afin de renouveler nos visas. Ils nous recommandent alors de passer chez leurs cousins, propriétaires de plantations de thé biologique non loin d'Ilam. Après quelques jours à Darjeeling, le temps de se renseigner sur la question du thé et de finir de monter nos deux premiers épisodes, nous voilà parties pour la campagne népalaise. Dans ce pays où les graines hybrides et stériles sont largement répandues, nous voulions découvrir la culture du thé bio, symbole d'une agriculture indépendante pour les petits fermiers. On laisse Suraj, fils de la famille Bhattarai, vous expliquer leur exploitation, de la graine jusqu'au chai ! ------------------------------------- Before leaving our Sikkimese adoption family, we had told them that we were heading to Nepal to renew our visas. They directly put us in contact with their relatives living in South Nepal, close by Ilam, and growing organic tea. After a short stay in Darjeeling, enough time to collect some information about tea and finish editing the two first episodes of our web-series, this is it: Nepal here we come ! In this country, hybrid seeds are largely used, so we wanted to dig into organic tea production, symbol of an independent and sustainable farming.
