You are invited to visit the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum, home of the world's largest collection of Australian dinosaur fossils and the most productive fossil preparation laboratory in the Southern hemisphere! Meet famous Australian dinosaurs including "Banjo" (Australovenator wintonensis), the largest predatory animal ever discovered in Australia, and lots of sauropod dinosaurs. The Museum is located on top of a huge mesa plateau called "The Jump-Up" with majestic rocky outcrops, cliffs, canyons and spectacular views. The Museum turn-off is 13 km south of Winton (Queensland) on the Longreach highway and is well signposted, then a further 12km on an unsealed road. Guided tours of the dinosaur collection room and fossil preparation laboratory run hourly from 9am with the last laboratory tour at 3pm and the last collection tour at 4pm. Enjoy the dinosaur-themed gift shop, café serving snacks, drinks and ice-creams, and two walking tracks.
