Okay so this song kind of lines up with my spiritual beliefs, but it’s really about the religious delusions I have when I’m fully manic. Don’t know why my brain goes straight there but I have had multiple episodes where I think I need to save the world on some spiritual revolution. So it’s about a severely manic individual thinking they need to save the world when in reality they can’t even take care of themselves. As for the themes, my spirituality is heavily influenced by Gnostic beliefs (thanks Dr. Sledge lol). I’m not really Gnostic but my beliefs lineup with a lot of those teachings. The song was originally supposed to be inspired by Man Who Sold the World by David Bowie, but as I wrote it I think it started to have a more Beatles/John Lennon White album/abbey road feel to it. Basically it kind of reminds me of Because by the Beatles. Funny thing is the message of this song is the opposite of what John Lennon sang in Revolution.
