Naval News takes you on an exclusive tour of the HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea. Established in 1972, HD HHI's Ulsan shipyard today is one of the largest shipbuilding facility in the world. The yard spans across 6.8 km² and employs close to 63,000 workers. During our visit to the Naval and Special Ship unit, we could tour ROKS Jeongjo the Great (the first KDX III Batch II destroyer), ROKS Chungnam (the first FFX Batch III frigate) and the area dedicated to the production and maintenance of submarines.
