After this, only the toy train runs and connects hill stations such as Summerhill, Barog, Dharampur, Shimla, and more. ➡️ About Kalka Railway Station There are a total of 7 Platforms at Kalka Railway Station. Toy Trains run from Platforms 4A, 5, and 6 which are connected to Platform 1. 🎟️ Ticket Counter The ticket counter is located outside Platform 1. From here, you can buy both unreserved tickets and reserved tickets for Toy trains to Shimla or normal trains as well. There are limited trains running to and from Kalka which you can find on the display board here as well. 🍛 What and Where to Eat There are a few food stalls and shops located at Kalka Railway Station. ➡️ Facilities Available at Kalka Railway Station Waiting Room: There is a waiting room available for people to sit and charge their phones before their train arrives. Upper-Class Waiting Room: There is a separate waiting room for those who have upper-class tickets. Executive Lounge: You can sit in the A.C. executive lounge for 20 INR per hour. The ticket for the lounge can be obtained from the ticket counter outside Platform 1. Retiring Room: If you are arriving late or staying in Kalka for a couple of hours, you can also use the Retiring Room here. ➡️ Is the Station Safe? Yes, it is completely safe to stay at the station if you have a late-night train or an early-morning train. The station is quite small and has limited facilities available.
