Henry B. Eyring is an apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Henry Bennion Eyring was born on May 31, 1933, in Princeton, New Jersey, to Henry Eyring and Mildred Bennion. His father was a prominent theoretical chemist, while his mother was active in the LDS Church. Henry B. Eyring grew up in a family that placed a strong emphasis on both faith and education. Eyring holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Utah and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Before his full-time church service, Eyring worked in academia and business. He served as a professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and later became the president of Ricks College (now known as Brigham Young University-Idaho) from 1971 to 1977.
