Dinner Reception in honour of dear friend Prof Rowan Parks, the youngest President ever of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh - one of the oldest Surgical Colleges in the world … Have known Rowan since 1998 whilst training at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Our friendship strengthened over the past 27 years… Rowan & I have had a super proud moment in common😊 His father, Prof George Parks served as President of Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland between 2000-2003 and with Rowan now as President of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh - History has been created - FIRST & THE ONLY TIME for father-so duo to have served at the apex position in the 520 years history of all Four Surgical Royal Colleges in the British isles combined...
