How to fix a leaking kitchen tap

Don't waste water! In this video, I attempt to fix a leaking kitchen faucet. The tap is a 90 degree type, with no hot and cold water mixer, so it's a relatively easy fix. First, turn off the water at the stopcock under the sink. If you can't find it, then you should turn off the water at the mains. Then, back at the tap, you need to pry out the little chrome cap at the back of the tap. Use a small screwdriver. Remember to cover all your sinkholes! If the little cap falls in there you will never see it again :) Once the little cap has been removed, you will be able to see a tiny grub screw. Loosen this with a hex or Allen key (link below if you don't have one). The faucet cover should be able to slide out, exposing the brass cartridge inside. Loosen this cartridge with an adjustable wrench, and put in a replacement cartridge. You can buy tap brass cartridges in Malaysia at Shopee or Lazada (links below). For my tap, I made sure they were the 90-degree type. And make sure that it turns the correct way following your tap. For example, if you use your right hand to open the tap by turning it downwards, that means you need an anti-clockwise cartridge. After that, tighten the cartridge, replace the cover, tighten the grub screw, and press the little cap back on.
