Shooting fundamentals start from the ground up, your stance and foot positions are as important in shooting as they are in fighting. A proper fighting stance is crucial for generating power, maintaining balance, and ensuring readiness, serving as the foundation for all attacking and defensive movements in martial arts as it is in weapons manipulation. In theory, your weapon is an extention of your body, and in the same way that you throw a punch using the pivot of your hips to generate power as you would do when swinging a golf club or baseball bat, the rotation of the shooters hips forward ensures a solid and balanced base for weapon presentation.
