ALUMEGA HV and JV: the assembly instructions apply to both versions of the connector. 0:05 – 0:11: POSITIONING ALUMEGA Position ALUMEGA JV at the tip of the beam, ensuring that the “TOP” marking on the connector is facing upwards. 0:12 – 0:25: INSERTION OF LBS HARDWOOD EVO SCREWS Insert the LBS HARDWOOD EVO screws into the pilot holes to position the connector on the beam. The required number of screws for positioning is specified in the product’s technical data sheet, available for download on the website. 0:26 – 0:50: INSTALLATION OF THE 45° WASHER FOR VGS – VGS EVO SCREWS Before fastening ALUMEGA with the VGS screws, mount the washer at a 45° angle and drill the pilot hole using the JIG VGU TEMPLATE. 0:51 – 1:49: FASTENING ALUMEGA WITH VGS SCREWS – AVOID OVER-TORQUING 0:51 – 1:25: Option 1 Use a screwdriver and torque wrench. Screw in one continuous motion until the head of the screw is 5–10 mm away from the washer, then proceed with the torque wrench, ensuring the tightening torque does not exceed the maximum insertion value Mins,max = 20 Nm. Ensure all VGS screws are tightened with the same insertion torque. 1:26 – 1:49: Option 2 Use a screwdriver with a TORQUE LIMITER for the entire screw travel. Ensure all VGS screws are tightened with the same insertion torque. 1:50 – 2:03: INSPECTION WITH TORQUE WRENCH AFTER THE VGS INSTALLATION OPTION 1 AND 2 DOs and DON’Ts Respect the insertion torque limits = do not over-torque the screw Insert the LBS HARDWOOD EVO positioning screws Respect the insertion angle = 45° Protect the connection from water Avoid impacts or sudden loads on the connection During installation, ensure balanced loading on the connections to prevent unintended torques
