Welcome, or welcome back, to Wanderlust Walks! Thank you for being here. Today we are exploring the beautiful Yorkshire village, Arncliffe. The village is home to the historic Falcon Inn, which was used as Emmerdale’s first Woolpack (the inn dates back to the 16th century). Arncliffe’s church, St. Oswald’s, dates back to the 12th century – situated next to the River Skirfare. The population of the quaint village is around 150 people, and is a popular destination for walkers and hikers, with many scenic trails surrounding the area. Once a centre for lead mining and quarrying, Arncliffe is located near the famous Malham Cove, a limestone cliff formation that attracts many visitors annually.
