2023 Lexus RC350 FSport AWD Driving Before Grandchildren By: Cathy Droz – HER Certified Oh, what a nice change of pace, I was able to test drive the Lexus RC350 FSport! As an automotive enthusiast and writer, I look forward to a two-door sports car now and then. This RC350 luxury sports vehicle did not disappoint my need for speed. I test drive so many SUV’s and four-door sedans that I sometimes forget that at one time I didn’t have so many grandkids to drive around. The first thing that caught my eye was those gorgeous 19-inch Alloy Wheels. They were like pieces of art, and one of the first things I look at when the car is delivered to my home. The subtle two-toned design with a Black hood and Incognito-colored body was a clever touch. It gave the car that extra sporty edge I adore. I even found an elevation in my neighborhood where you could see the contrast despite the intense sun. Stepping inside the RC350 FSport, the yellow trim accents brought a smile to my face. They screamed "fun" and "sporty," and that's exactly what I was looking for in this "street racer." In case you didn’t notice I was able to find a vintage sign (bowling alley) with the same yellow. The interior space was surprisingly roomy, and even the trunk worked well helping my daughter move some of her fragile items to their new home. It's incredible how this sports model can still be practical and accommodating when needed. The power and performance of the 3.5 Liter V6 Engine! It was exhilarating. The engine's growl as I hit the pedal was music to my ears. The 6-speed automatic transmission and drive mode select allowed me to tailor the driving experience to my mood and the road conditions. And those steering wheel-mounted Paddle Shifters! They made me feel like I was on the racetrack, in complete control of every gear change. I always find it interesting when my male counterparts get so excited over paddle shifters. The Luxury sports car came loaded with features that perfectly complemented its sporty persona. The grille, front brake calipers, and aluminum pedals added to its fierce look. Now, let's talk about the Mark Levinson Audio Package - an option on this model and hard to resist despite the additional $2,725.00. Trust me, it was worth every penny. The sound quality was simply mind-blowing, again taking me back to the carefree days. For me, the 2023 Lexus RC350 FSport embodied everything I adore in a luxury sports vehicle. It was more than a car; it was an expression of my personality (past and present) and my love for the road.
