Aloha! My name is Dr. Fisher, and I’m excited to share valuable ELA skills’ strategies with both teachers and students. I currently serve as the Pearl City Waipahu Complex Area Resource Teacher for English Language Arts and Social Studies and as an Adjunct Professor at Chaminade University, where I teach a doctorate course on Evidence-Based Leadership and Decision-Making. With over 20 years of experience teaching ELA in grades 6-12 in Hawai‘i, I am passionate about helping students succeed. I created the HCCS ELA Skills’ Support video series to equip students with essential strategies for ELA success. Each video simplifies complex skills into manageable steps, making learning more accessible.
