Is the Quran the word of God? Muslims say yes. Tonight they get the chance to prove it. Apostate Aladdin grew up in a Sunni Muslim family in Saudi Arabia. Arabic is his first language. He read the Quran the way Muslims say it should be read, in its original language, in the culture it emerged from, with the theology learned from the inside. He studied it. He lived it. And after years of honest examination, he left Islam. Not because he misunderstood the Quran. Because he understood it completely and it didn't hold up. I went through a parallel journey with Christianity. Years of studying the Bible with world-class scholars showed me the human fingerprints all over the text. Anonymous authors. Contradictions. Literary borrowing. Theological development over time. Two different religions. Two different sacred texts. The same conclusion: these are human documents produced by people in specific historical and cultural contexts, not divine revelations from God. Tonight the phones are open. We're inviting Muslims to call in and make their best case that the Quran is from God. Not from a human. Not inspired by culture and context. FROM GOD. Tell us about the inimitability of the Arabic. Tell us about the scientific foreknowledge. Tell us about the preservation of the text. Tell us about the prophecies. Whatever argument you believe is the strongest, bring it. We'll listen. We'll engage. We'll respond honestly and respectfully. This isn't a trap. This isn't a gotcha. This is two people who left their religions and examined their sacred texts critically sitting down and saying: we're open to hearing the case. If the Quran is from God, this should be easy.
