Actor-director Rishab Shetty joins us LIVE to discuss Kantara Chapter 1 — one of the most awaited films from the South. In this exclusive interview, he delves into the Box Office expectations, the spiritual significance of Bootkola, and how divine inspiration shaped his storytelling. Hear from the man behind the phenomenon as he reveals insights into the making of Kantara Chapter 1 and the world it builds. In an interview with News18, when asked whether he gives in to the ‘KGF: Chapter 2’–‘Kantara’ comparisons, Rishab was quick to reply, “Why? Both of them are our films, right?” He further added, “Both are our films, he is our hero, both films are from the same production house, and from the same film industry.” Rishab Shetty, drawing comparisons with Kannada cinema legends of the past, said, “In the older generation, actors like Dr Rajkumar and Dr Vishnuvardhan have inspired us a lot. Similarly, in this generation, to gain reach beyond Karnataka, Hombale (Films), Yash sir and Prashanth (Neel) have contributed significantly, because of which ‘Kantara’ opened widely at that point in time.” ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ is a prequel to Rishab Shetty’s 2022 blockbuster ‘Kantara’ and features Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram in prominent roles. The film, since its announcement in 2022, has been compared with Yash’s ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, with many eager to see whether ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ will surpass the records set by Yash’s blockbuster. #RishabShetty #KantaraChapter1 #rukminivasanth #Kantara #Bootkola #IndianCinema #KannadaCinema #SouthCinema #DivineSaga #BoxOffice #KantaraInterview
