My good friend Ronald who happens to be in Taiwan suggested to come here because of the amazing restaurants and the astounding buffets! If the Las Vegas buffets sets the standard, then the ones in Taiwan exceeds it. Having just arrived in Taipei and adjusting to the heat, humidity, rain, and sun, it sure has taken a toll, but that certainly wouldn't prevent me in finding a great meal! On the first night, on the streets of Taipei, there are endless choices of restaurants and food stalls, all of which look amazing. Having tried a great traditional meal, I was ready to venture on... Unfortunately, the next day, the bright sunny weather quickly turned into rain... and it was a heavy down pour! So with street food out of the question, it gives us the opportunity to visit a buffet at Taiwan's 5-Star Shangri-La Cafe Far Eastern Restaurant where they not only have traditional cuisines on the buffet line, but also enormous sized clusters of snow crab legs that are grilled to perfection. Along with the seafood, there are also amazing roasts of American Prime rib, the most tender short rib you've ever tried, as well as a perfectly cooked Iberico pork roast that is nice a fatty.
