《夕阳箫鼓》，原为琵琶古曲。二十年代被改编为丝竹乐合奏时又名《春江花月夜》，是以优美、抒情为基调的多段体传统名曲。钢琴曲写于1975年，但几次再版时都有修订。钢琴曲在曲体上从现代听众的审美意识出发，突出主要对比因素，削弱小的段落感，注重音乐思维贯穿发展的逻辑性，反映出现代的音乐审美意识；而五声性的多声织体，又使音乐散发出古香古色的传统审美气息。 "Music at Sunset" is originally an ancient Chinese pipa solo song featuring lyric and elegant melody. In the 1920s, the song was recomposed to a Chinese traditional instruments orchestra version and renamed as "Blossoms at a Moonlit River in Spring". The piano version was first composed in 1975 with a few adjustments in later editions. The emphasis on the musical contrast and combining small fractions to be an intact one are adaptations to modern aesthetics, making the idea-expression logic of the music clearer. The multi-part texture with a strong feature of the Chinese pentatonic scale used in this song makes it a perfect combination of modern and classical sense of beauty.
