In this video, we learn how to develop sectioned or truncated solids using two important techniques — the Parallel Line Method and the Radial Line Method. First, we develop a hexagonal prism that is cut by an inclined section plane using the parallel line method. The process includes drawing top and front views, creating sectional views, and then unfolding the lateral surface to form the development. Next, we apply the radial line method to a cone sectioned by a 45-degree plane. The development shows how to divide the cone into generators and transfer sectional points for accurate surface unfolding. This lesson is part of our Engineering Drawing or Graphics course and is ideal for Diploma, Polytechnic, and First-Year Engineering students.
