FAST 5 | 2018 Mazda 6 - The Most Seductive Car in its Class

I drive the brand new 2018 Mazda 6. The Mazda 6 goes through yet another refresh and you can kind of tell from the exterior, but the interior is where you get your 35 grand worth in the case of the signature trim. Materials and design continue to be elevated in the cabin and, for me it was very reminiscent of some German luxury brands. The addition of the turbo to the Mazda 6 is a nice bump in power, but when you consider that Honda and Toyota have V6 options it's hard to chose the Mazda 6 for straight-line speed. However if that's all you're interested in Mazda doesn't want you anyway. Dodge will happily put you in a Charger. The Mazda 6 caters to a more comprehensive driving experience inclusive of moving your steering wheel off-center. Despite a little wheel spin at times, the Mazda 6 is extremely composed and dynamically exhilarating for the segment. Plus, even with the addition of a turbo, the Mazda 6 sounds pretty good. I thought I heard a whisper of spool and blow off when running it a little harder. There are only two complaints I have about the 2018 Mazda 6: no Apple Car Play/Android Auto and no optional Panoramic Sunroof - aside from that, the car is exceptional. Absolutely what I would pick in this segment.
