Indigenous participation in the economy has been increasing for decades. New Indigenous businesses continually emerge in the marketplace, and Indigenous entrepreneurs are on the rise. Still many are left behind or on the sidelines trying to figure out how to get involved and launch or grow their businesses. There are more resources available to Indigenous business than ever before, the question is how to leverage those resources. Successful Indigenous business leaders lend their experience and wisdom to those starting out, colleges and universities are developing new programs that are geared to the Indigenous learner, industry, in general, is creating pathways for Indigenous businesses to find their way into the supply chain and, financial institutions and governments are creating new programs to facilitate easier access to capital and resources. It’s an exciting time for Indigenous economic development. Join Royal Roads University professors Dr. Hope Sanderson and Dr. Charles Krusekopf in partnership with Haisla Nation representatives Kailee Gardiner and Lisa Grant who will explore community, post-secondary and industry perspectives on this growing aspect of the Canadian economy. This interactive session is part of RRU's School of Business Insights for Action webinar series: https://www.royalroads.ca/insights-ac...
