Welcome to my review of SHFiguarts Dragonranger [ドラゴンレンジャー] from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger [恐竜戦隊ジュウレンジャー]! Like the Jetman Figuarts releases, the Zyuranger Figuarts came to be following an appearance on Season 2 of Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger [非公認戦隊アキバレンジャー]. As I mentioned before, I don't have any interest in watching Akibaranger so I really don't know much about the origins or what the "Powerful Rangers" parts are all about. Regardless, the appearance of Tyrannoranger and Dragonranger on that show lead to Figuarts...which is what matters here. SHF Dragonranger comes with basically every accessory that he had in the show. Included with this figure is... 1. Zyusouken 獣奏剣 2. Hellfriede ヘルフリード Also included are several sets of hands and the "Powerful Ranger" parts from Akibaranger, which are exclusive to the Japan release. Outside of a few flaws, this figure is great. I really like the shade of green that they used. It's much more screen-accurate than previous Dragonranger figures and even more accurate than the shade of green used on the boxart. Problems with this figure... Like Tyrannoranger, the helmet is good but a little bit off. While editing my pictures I was noticing that the helmet looks really bad from some angles and almost spot-on in others. I'm not crazy about the boots either. The white paint seems to be too lightly applied as I can see some of the green. The Zyusouken could have been better also. The mouthpiece looks pretty awful--which is a total shame since the rest of the weapon looks very good and nicely detailed. Overall this is a good figure. I have to recommend Tyrannoranger over this--but if you're a fan of the show it's worth getting both. Stay tuned for more Zyuranger and Dairanger Figuarts action!
