After driving all night from Daytona Beach, we woke up surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains — ready to take on our first ever hike in Shenandoah National Park! This is Doyle’s River Falls Trail: a 3-mile descent through lush forest, natural springs, and cascading waterfalls that completely stole our hearts (and our energy 😂). Along the way, we learned about forest guardians, fae traps, and the magic hidden in nature. We refilled our bottles from a mountain spring, cooled off in icy streams, and found peace in the sound of rushing water. What you don’t see? The brutal climb back up that nearly finished us — but it was so worth it.
