Insurgentes (Steven Wilson) multi video cover

This is my cover of Steven Wilson's song, Insurgentes, off of his debut solo album of the same name released in 2009. Please support the original song and Steven Wilson. I had a lot of fun recording this cover, I wanted to try something where I played all of the parts using instruments I've learned over the years. That being said, I'll never claim to be a pianist! I always loved the original version for the space filled with minimal instrumentation. I wanted to try and come up with my own spin on the song using ideas from the live version, which completely had its own unique personality. It was all recorded in my basement using minimal gear. Everything was either DIed or recorded with my terrible pawn-shop-bought AKG mic. It was put into Logic, where I used drum, mellotron, and piano samples from Steven Wilson's Ghostwriter plugin. I blended those sounds with some of Logic's library sounds, a handful of Waves plugins and then made the video in Premiere. I hope you enjoy.
