Spain is a popular tourist resort. When People tell me they are traveling to Spain they commonly go to the islands of Tenerife and Canaries, Barcelona, Benidorm, Ibiza or the infamous Costa Blanca but I rarely hear people mention Murcia city. Since I moved to Southern Spain myself I hear locals talk about how much they enjoyed Murcia, and if there is something I've learned on my travels; "Go where the locals go"... so we did. Me, my wife and our two daughters went on a 3 day trip to the City of Murcia between Christmas and New Year and it was absolutely amazing. Warm people, amazing architecture, very cultural city, fit for everyone in every season. There was something in this trip for everybody, a lot to do for the kids, great food, great for travel photography and if you are into architectural Photography Murcia is a goldmine.
