#China #Travel #Vlog No Visa needed for me as Malaysian citizens no longer need a visa to enter mainland China for short-term stays, as a mutual visa-free agreement allows for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period, effective July 17, 2025. Otherwise, you could refer to this link for visa application if needed - https://consular.mfa.gov.cn/VISA/ I took Xiamen Airlines and tried to check in online but everyone will need to go to the counter for physical check in. NO ONLINE CHECK IN as I've travelled via Xiamen Airlines twice. So don't bother checking for online check in. Good thing is the airlines allow 23KG check in and 5KG carry on. Although they seldom check the carry on luggage. Their system is very messy from my experience flying with them but their service is pretty okay on flight. Places I've visited below with ratings NOTE: USE BAIDU APP TO NAVIGATE THE ADDRESS as Google Maps doesn't work in China - https://map.baidu.com/ Name: Shao Zi Ya Fish Balls (F&B) Address: 桥亭街3号 (https://j.map.baidu.com/32/UK7k) Cost: 72元 | $13 for 2 pax Comments: It's located in Xiamen City along Zhongshan Road, it seems that Former Singapore Prime Minister Lee has visited this restaurant to dine in and I thought it's trustworthy. Their signature would be their Fish ball soup but I've ordered the crab roe dumplings and porridge which was average. Personal Ratings: 5/10 Name: Be Normal Cafe (F&B) Address: 霞溪路69号 (https://j.map.baidu.com/32/Bkn) Cost: around 30元 | $5.40 per pax Comments: This cafe had a pretty young, modern minimalist vibe. Their latte artwork and taste was really good, worth the money! Decorated with alot of anime toys and their customers are mainly the young crowd. Personal Ratings: 10/10 Name: The Colourist in SM Mall(Shopping) Address: 福建省厦门市思明区嘉禾路197号磐基名品中心G层G30调色师 (https://j.map.baidu.com/1f/RG7u) Cost: I've spent about 150元 | $27 Comments: This was one of my favourite make up and beauty shop as I spent hours going through every single products they had. It was really interested and the make up selections are affordable! Personal Ratings: 10/10 (Highly recommended if you like beauty stuff) Name: blt Supermarket in SM Mall(Shopping) Address: 嘉禾路401号SM三期购物中心B1层B1-D16号商铺(https://j.map.baidu.com/e2/NWMi) Cost: 4.9元 | $0.88 Comments: Pretty average supermarket Personal Ratings: 8/10 Name: Swiss Grand International Hotel Xiamen (Accommodation) Address: No.12 Lujiang Avenue, Xiamen 361001 China Cost: 671元 | $120 for 2 pax Comments: Really nice hotel, 5 minutes walking distance to Zhenhai Metro and 15 minutes walking distance to Zhongshan Road. Overlooking over Gulangyu Island and their facilities (pool and gym) are amazing! Although you'll need to use a lot of Google Translate if you can't communicate in Mandarin Chinese which I did. Personal Ratings: 10/10 (One of the best hotel I've experienced) Name: Xie Shang Huang (F&B) Address: 思明南路1-103号(名创优品对面)（近鼓浪屿）(https://j.map.baidu.com/84/cKJk) Cost: 126元 | $23 for 2 pax Comments: I saw this restaurant in XHS (Rednote) and they had a viral crab roe noodles but it was average. Perhaps, it'll taste better with rice. Their dessert was pretty okay! Personal Ratings: 6.5/10 (Recommend you to find other place)
