NEDAwareness Week is the largest education and outreach effort on eating disorders in the United States, taking place February 24-March 2, 2013.The aim of NEDAwareness Week is to increase awareness and education about eating disorders and body image issues for effective recognition, early intervention and direction to care.This year's NEDAwareness Week theme is Everybody Knows Somebody because awareness of eating disorders is certainly spreading, as is the knowledge that eating disorders do not discriminate-ANYONE can be effected. Last year, NEDAwareness Week registrants spanned all 50 states and 30 other countries.
