Battlestar Galactica Miniseries Part 1 reaction time! I’m revisiting the opening of Battlestar Galactica and immediately remembering why this sci-fi classic permanently lives in my nerd brain. From the Cylons’ terrifying return to the emotional setup for Adama, Starbuck, and Roslin, this first half of the miniseries still hits like a nuclear jump. I’ve seen this show before, but it’s been years, which means this rewatch is equal parts nostalgia, chaos, and me yelling at characters who are about to have the worst day in human history. I react to the grounded military tone, the early political tension, and the ridiculously stacked cast including Katee Sackhoff, Mary McDonnell, and Edward James Olmos. We’re talking Cylons, frakking incredible sound design, early Gaius Baltar red flags, and the emotional gut-punch foundation that makes this series legendary.
