Building A Rock Crawler Jeep - CJ7 One Ton Axle Swap

This week in building a rock crawler jeep we are doing a one ton axle swap on our cj7 build. We are pretty much building a rock crawler from scratch on this one as when we bought this project it was just a tub of a CJ7 on a YJ frame with a roll cage built on it. We decided to use a bunch of Barnes 4WD products to help us put the CJ7 on tons. I sourced a Chevy kingpin Dana 60 for the front and GM 14 bolt for the rear. To assist the build we got the Barnes 4WD Pro Series Chevy Kinpin Dana 60 front truss, the matching double ended hydraulic ram steering mount, the Pro Series full width 14 bolt rear truss and the pinion guard and bridge to go along with it. We wanted the pinion bridge and spinning the axle tubes on a 14 bolt can be a problem and the bridge helps prevent that from happening. We tacked everything on and will do our final welds after we have figured out our suspension and checked everything through the full range of motion to confirm there are no issues.
