Vortex Double Chair is a two-person fixed-grip chairlift located at Pats Peak Ski Area. The lift runs from just above the base lodge up to the summit of the mountain. From the top of the lift, skiers and riders may access nearly the entire ski area, including a large variety of terrain for all skill levels. The chairlift is a backup to the parallel Peak Triple and Hurricane Quad chairlifts and mainly operates on weekends and race days. The lift was manufactured by Hall and installed at the ski area in 1998. Pats Peak is a ski area located in Henniker, New Hampshire. The resort is located in the Central Region of the state, about a 25-minute drive west of the state capital Concord, a 40-minute drive northwest of Manchester, and a 90-minute drive northwest of Boston.
