#PaaniFoundation #farmercup Here's the 5th episode of Toofan Aalaya 2023 - chronicling awe-inspiring and unbelievable stories of how farmer groups are supporting each other despite an acute drought and other natural calamities. 1. Fisre village, Karmala taluka - It is unthinkable that in a drought year, farmers can share water with each other. Yet, the women in this village have done this and helped save a fellow farmer's crop from withering away! 2. Uplai Budruk village, Madha taluka - The youth in this village were directionless and spent all day on their phones. Until, they met Paani Foundation's team. They decided to go for the Farmer Cup training as a fun experiment, but returned home changed. They were convinced by the power of group farming. And they were impacted to such an extent that the whole group united to harvest onion even at midnight, and saved the crop from getting destroyed! 3. Anjandoh village, Dharur taluka - 'Dhonde Jevan' is a tradition followed by several families in Maharashtra, and has been followed for decades. This is when a couple is invited back to the bride's family and the son-in-law is showered with blessings and gifts. But in the women farmer group in this village, one woman's parents had passed away, and therefore, she could not enjoy this tradition, while all the other women did. Seeing this, the other women decided to host this tradition for their friend. Watch this moving tale of friendship and love. 4. From the screen to the farm!
