Twitch hasn't made a decent update in years despite YouTube constantly releasing new features and tools to help Streamers, but in the last few months Twitch has released several major updates including research tools, clip conversion tools, the new preview window, and of course the new Twitch Alerts tool. 🔴 Download the BEST Full Stream Packages By OWN3D: https://bit.ly/BestFullStreamPackages 🔴 Download FREE Animated Overlays From Our Discord: https://bit.ly/FREEStreamOverlays 👑 Check out Eljay Live Right now: http://bit.ly/eljayemtwitch Why Is Twitch Discovery Not Good for Small Streamers Twitch sorts their categories by most viewers, which means it is what we call a Kingmaker system, essentially when one Streamer gets lots of viewers, they rise to the top of the category or get more recommendations causing them to get more viewers who come browsing Twitch. So beginners or small streamers often sit right down at the bottom of the categories and never get any clicks, because nobody scrolls down 20,000 streamers to find them, and nobody uses the filters over here to check by recommended or smallest despite what you might hope. In reality, very few even check categories, most Viewers actually go straight to their Follower List or Favourite streamer meaning discovery on Twitch is relatively slow to start out. Think about it, when you type twitch.tv into your bar, it usually auto-completes to your favourite streamers channel, not to a specific category or the homepage. This kingmaker system has led to A LOT of outcry from smaller creators asking Twitch to do more for them and their discovery and in turn the same reason why educators such as myself or harris often push you guys to diversify across other platforms with algorithms such as TikTok or YouTube… even if you hate that advice with all your heart. 🕘Timestamps: 0:00 Twitch are finally releasing updates 1:17 Twitch's New Research Tools and How to use them 3:18 Twitch's new Clip converter tool, and should you use it? 3:40 Special Guest Sponsor Segment! 4:40 How To Start making Short Format content as a Streamer 9:55 How Twitch just solved Small Streamer Growth and Ads 12:48 You need to use Twitch's new Alert tool! What Is The New Twitch Update? Well, there are 2 major places it has changed, let’s first talk about the category changes. When you go to a category, rather than seeing a big list of auto-generated thumbnails, instead you see just a small row of streams and a big preview window that shows the top stream in the row. I want to quickly add when this update rolled out it actually reset my little sort by filter over here to default to “Recommended” rather than “high to low” I have asked around and it seems like this is the case for most people, if Twitch is leaning into recommended rather than sort by high to low with this update that is actually quite cool. The second major place this has changed is actually on the Twitch front page, now on the Twitch front page when you click a stream it doesn’t take you straight there, instead, it pops open that recommended section, and lets you preview the streams similar to the category preview. On the actual Stream preview, whether it is the home page or category doesn’t matter, we have a few things we can do. Over on the left, we have Join Stream, follow, the title of the stream is nice and big so you know what is happening. The massive pro to this entire update, essentially you do not get a Pre-roll ad on the preview window. This is a good change for Pre-rolls, giving viewers the chance to check you out, potentially get invested, and join your stream all before seeing ads is a massive win for streamers. The style of this video is similar to Alpha Gaming and Gaming Careers in parts. A large influence on this series has come from content creators like Wild4games and Nutty. 🎬Watch our most recent videos: https://bit.ly/RecentStreamVids 🎬 Playlists You Might Like: Guides and Tutorials: https://bit.ly/StreamGuidesPlaylist Streamlabs OBS Guides: https://bit.ly/SlobsGuides 💬 Streaming Guides: The Full Guide to Twitch Graphics: https://bit.ly/FullGuideToTwitchGraphics How To Stream On Twitch The A to Z Guide: https://bit.ly/HowToStreamOnTwitch101 -------------------------------SOCIAL------------------------------- 👥Facebook: https://bit.ly/StreamSchemeFB 🐦Twitter: https://bit.ly/Streamtweets 💬Website: https://bit.ly/Streamscheme 🐦Go force Eljay to use Twitter: http://bit.ly/EljaysTweets #twitch #growth #guide
