I love what I do because I get to interact with kids every day of all ages. I've always loved pediatrics, just enjoyed kids when I was younger and continued to enjoy kids as I got older, and knew when I wanted to go into medicine that I always wanted to practice pediatrics. Treating kids is much different than adults. A lot of times, kids can't tell you what's going on and so you really have to be able to understand what causes problems in kids and what's normal with kids, and when kids are not acting the way they should. I'm from Yorktown, Virginia. And from there, I went to school in East Tennessee at Milligan College and then pursued my medical education at the University of Louisville, where I also completed my pediatrics residency. When I'm not practicing pediatrics in the office, I enjoy volunteering at my church and I also enjoy spending time with my husband and kids and enjoy cheering them on at their sporting events.
