The Kamat Yatrinivas group introduced Bengaluru to the wonderful Jolada Rotti Oota (Jowar Bhakri meal) way back in 1993, and their legacy continues to thrive! 🍽️ I recently revisited their new Whitefield outpost, which I had the pleasure of inaugurating a couple of months ago, to finally try the MASSIVE meal in peace. 😌 In this vlog, I meet the passionate third-generation brothers, Narayan and Akashrai, who are proudly carrying forward their family's tradition, supported by chefs who have been with them for decades. We dive into the in-depth making of the Jolada Rotti Oota—the true bedrock of this North Karnataka feast. But that's not all! I tried their newly introduced snack, the flavourful Girmit Mandakki. I savour the big, authentic meal and conclude with a truly unique and delicious ice cream, paying homage to a much-loved Belgaum dessert tradition.
