Nemorino, a humble farmer, is in love with Adina, a beautiful and woman who owns a farm in the village. Adina assured Nemorino that she has no interest in him. One day, soldiers arrive in the village. They are led by Sergeant Belcore, a low-key man who flirts with Adina and soon proposes an inheritance to her. Adina replies that she needs time to think about her suggestion to think about. That night comes Dr. Dulcamara. He travels from place to place selling medicines that he believes can cure any disease. Nemorino buys Dulcamara a love potion, which the doctor claims will make him irresistible. (But he doesn't tell her that the "potion* is nothing more than wine!). Nemorino immediately drinks the potion and drunkenly flirts with the village women. Unexpectedly upset, Adina dies. Angry, she decides to marry Belcore that same day . The townspeople gather for the wedding banquet. Adina seems happy but hides her sadness because Nemorino isn't there. Desperately looking for Dulcamara, Nemorino hopes that a second dose of the potion will make Adina fall in love with him before she marries Belcore. Meanwhile, a friend of Adina's tells the town women a secret: Nemorino's wealthy uncle is dead and left all his money to his nephew. When Nemorino arrives in the main square a few minutes later, all these women come to him. Adina, jealous, bursts into tears. When Nemorino sees her crying, she realizes that she loves him. Adina finally admits that he loves her as much as he loves her. At this point, Dulcamara informs Nemorino that he has inherited his uncle's fortune. While everyone celebrates, Dulcamara explains that her magic potion not only makes people fall in love, but can also make the poor rich. 00:02:10 - Ouverture 00:04:56 - Bel conforto 00:06:49 - Quanto e Bella 00:10:27 - Benedette queste carte 00:11:02 - Della crudele Isotta 00:14:58 - Marziale 00:16:09 - Come Paride vezzoso 00:19:33 - Or se m'ami come io t'amo 00:22:52 - Intanto o mia ragazza 00:23:33 - Una parola o Adina 00:25:17 - Chiedi all'aura lusinghiera 00:31:20 - Che vuol dire codesta suonata 00:33:07 - Udite udite!
