No Onion No Garlic Recipes:    • No Onion No Garlic Recipes & Pujo er ...   Thakur Bari Style Mochar Paturi: Today I am presenting the vegetarian recipe of Thakur Bari er Mochar Paturi or Banana Blossom cooked in Banana Leaf. A delicacy from the Land of Bengal, where chopped and boiled Banana Blossom along with a paste of Mustard and Coconut paste, wrapped in Banana Leaf and cooked in slow flame. How to Make: Ingredients: 1) 3 cups of Chopped Mocha. 2) Tamarind 1 tbsp 3) Salt to Taste 4) Coconut paste 1 cup 5) Yellow Mustard Seed Paste 2 tbsps 6) Green Chili paste 1 tbsp 7) Mustard Oil 2 tbsp 8) Banana Leaf Process: 1) We will first clean the Banana Blossom/Plantain Flower. Firstly, peel the purple layers and remove the florets. In each floret remove the longest string with a round head called the 'Stamen' and the translucent thin cover. Now chop the Florets finely. 2) Prepare a liquid with 5 cups of Water and Tamarind. Soak the chopped Mocha into this liquid for 15 mints. After 15 mints wash the finely chopped Mocha and boil. 3) First mash the boiled Mocha. 4) Add Coconut, Mustard paste, Green Chili paste, Mustard Oil , Salt. Mix well. 5) Dry Roast the Banana Leaf on low flame. 6) Add 3 Tbsp of marinated Mocha on each Banana Leaf. Fold the Banana Leaf as shown in the video & tie it with a cotton thread.  7) Heat 1 tbsp of Mustard Oil. Add Banana parcel. Cook on low flame for 5 to 10 mints. Once the color of the Banana has changed. Mocha Paturi is ready to serve with Steamed Rice.
