Final score: 469,388,320. Also known as "Halloween Itazura". Unironically one of the hardest shmup I've cleared so far, this difficulty is demonic. The difficulty spike from Lunatic to hard is really steep, forcing you on Rank 8 (MAX) at all the time. Max rank introduces random shotgun blast-like suicide bullets that travels at a decent speed. They cannot be sealed in any way, which makes routing the stages a pain. Together with that, the patterns get 10 times as dense, bosses have MUCH more HP and they now shoot a "Movement suicide bullets" blast, which is random but the boss always follow the same path. Recovery is really hard in this mode, dying will limp you so much that it's physically impossible to powerup during a boss or anywhere outside stage 3 UFO section. The TLB appears if you score past a certain threshold, which is basically guaranteed on anything past normal mode. The fight isn't too bad but the last pattern is impossible, that's where suiciding is actually the only way to beat the game. Pointblanking after a miss deals decent damage and you get a decent amount of I-frames. The basic strategy is chaining the kokoro items so you can insta-restock on bomber, usually. Also the clear screen is the same as Hard mode, unfortunate.
